Adelantado Trilogy: Book One

Adelantado's story begins in Spain during the Age of Discovery. Don Diego De Leon, a courageous and noble officer, is summoned by the Queen. She tells him of an overseas expedition sent to find riches for the crown. There was no news from the adventurers for a while. The Queen bestows the title of Adelantado on Diego, making him the governor and caretaker of the new territory. He is tasked with finding and, if possible, saving the lost expedition as well as collecting the desperately needed gold. Knowing about Adelantados mission, one of the Queen's ministers seeks all the fame and glory for himself. He enlists the help of a criminal named Pablo Rodrigez to finish the mission first.
