Coast Guard Officer Alexis and her friends find themselves lost at sea in a life raft after barely escaping the ship of spirits. They are shipwrecked on an island by an abrupt storm, and the local Mayans demand revenge for the artifact that was taken from them centuries ago. Before the Spirit of the Volcano splits the island in two, Alexis has to put the artifact back where it belongs in the ancient temple. A young girl might be their best chance to placate it, but can they prevent the evil poacher from escaping his fate? A ghost from their past could spell their doom.
