Les Miserables – Jean Valjean

This game is a free adaption of Victor Hugo's 1862 novel Les Misérables. After being released from prison work in 1815, Jean Valjean is an outcast who feels unfairly treated and filled with hatred. After giving him food and shelter, he robs Monseigneur Bienvenu of his silverware. But the charity of the bishop teaches him the meaning of integrity and virtue. Jean Valjean becomes Monsieur Madeleine, the mayor of Montreuil-sur-Mer, upon his arrival. When he first meets Fantine, he assures her that he will deliver Cosette from the hands of the Thénardiers.
