Sylvia, a teenage acolyte of the monster-hunting Order, pursues the Order's ex-member Gabriel, who stole the artefact housing the evil entity Koshmaar. The monster has absorbed the entire city into its nightmare dimension, and its fate is now in Sylvia's hands. With the help of her trusty instructor Solomon, the young heroine must confront her ultimate test and discover a link between the villain Gabriel and her own ancestors. There are nightmares buried in the past that are even darker than the monsters wandering the enormous gothic city, it turns out.
