8-BALL is the most common variant of Pool played in the world. It is played with 15 balls. Players take turns shooting solids or stripes. The winner in 8-ball is to be the first player to LEGALLY sink the 8-ball.
9-BALL is a fast and challenging variation of Pool that is popular in professional billard circuits It is played with 9 balls, numbered 1-9. The winner in 9-ball is the first player to LEGALLY sink the 9-ball.
CUTTHROAT is played with 3 players. Unlike other Pool games, the winner is the first player to sink all of his OPPONENTS balls (leaving only his own balls on the table). Cutthroat is played with a 15 ball rack - and the balls are divided into 3 groups:
”Lows” - balls #1-5 (all solid)
”Mediums” - balls #6-10 (some solid, some striped)
”Highs” - balls #11-15 (all striped)
The ”next ball” indicator will show which balls you should try to sink. Remember - you are trying to LEAVE your own balls on the table, and trying to SINK your opponent’s balls.
